Giving Back
Our Commitment
Back Porch Pots is committed to give back to our communities through charitable donations to organizations that are making a positive difference in the world.
1% of sales are donated to not-for-profit organizations. Each color pot we sell represents a category of not-for-profit work.
At the end of every year, we will tally up the amount of each color pot sold, and our customers will get to vote on which organizations we will support. We will select our first group of organizations to donate to in January, 2023.
Back Porch Pots is a member of 1% for the Planet. 1% for the Planet represents a global network of businesses, individuals and nonprofit organizations tackling our planet's most pressing environmental and social justice issues.
Green - Supports farmers markets, farm-to-school, and other gardening organizations
Yellow - Supports Veterans’ organizations
Purple - Supports organizations working with survivors of domestic violence
Blue - Supports marine and freshwater conservation organizations
Red - Supports organizations fighting for indigenous rights and missing and murdered indigenous women
Orange - Supports organizations fighting climate change
Clear - Supports organizations fighting plastic pollution
